LEAD4IT is an employer-driven, Department of Labor-funded initiative offered by ICF International to address the shortage of skilled workers in the IT sector by assisting companies to design or expand work-based learning and training options to develop the candidates they need.

Training Options Include:

  • Funding to custom-train new IT Employees

  • Funding to upskill present IT workforce

  • Training Plans aligned with your business goals

  • Identification of other potential funding available to support your efforts

  • No fee

  • On the Job Training  – 50-90% Wage Reimbursement up to 6 months

  • Apprenticeships – Technical Assistance, Fee Reimbursement, and funds for Related Instruction

  • Industry-Recognized Certifications – Up to $1000 per Employee

  • Paid Internships – Up to $2000 per Paid Intern


Services are available at no cost to any for-profit or non-profit private business in any industry hiring for IT-related employees across the United States.

Eligible positions include, but are not limited to:

  • Computer User Support Specialists

  • Computer Network Specialists

  • Salesforce or Database Managers

  • Information Security Analysts

  • Software Developers

  • Web Developers

  • Network Systems Administrators


Funded by the Department of Labor to address the skills gap in the IT sector, the ICF International LEAD4IT team is able to provide no-cost assistance to help design and reimburse Work Based Learning solutions that meet your workforce needs. Companies are assigned a no-cost Account Manager to examine your needs, create training plans, and connect to talent and funding.
