What is the Northern Virginia ESLA Program?

ESLA prepares and empowers parents with barriers such as low-income, legal history, and/or disabilities to enter and maintain employment with the prospect of a career path and wage growth. Customized employment supports for qualified job seekers may include:

  • Paid Internships
  • Post-Employment Support
  • Job Lead Assistance
  • Training & Certification
  • LinkedIn Learning
  • Employment Incentives

Who Is Eligible?

Eligible participants must meet the following criteria:

  • Household income 200% or less of the Federal poverty level
  • At least one child under 18 years old living with you
  • Residents of Fairfax, Prince William, Loudoun, and Arlington Counties; and the cities of Alexandria, Fairfax, Falls Church, Manassas, and Manassas Park
  • Work ready and speak sufficient English to interview independently
  • Note: Individuals enrolled in the TANF VIEW program are eligible.
